    Under the Application Licensing Framework for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations , the following additional features are included:

    Show AOT names of configuration keys

    System administration > Setup > License configuration

    A new checkbox labeled Show AOT has been added to the License Configuration form. When enabled, it displays the technical name of the license configuration.

    The technical name is also displayed in the Included Configuration Keys section on the Configuration Key Groups tab.

    Show SKU type filter when adding privileges to a security role

    System administration > Security > Security configuration

    Micorsoft uses the User license estimator report to see which users need which kind of (SKU) license based on the privileges assigned via their roles.

     

     Important

    Microsoft has depricated this report and replaced by the Licenses usage summary form (System administration > Security > Security governance). Data only available on T2 or higher environments
       

    When assigning privileges to a role, a new filter option has been added to filter out privileges by SKU:

    This feature is especially helpful for optimizing licensing costs by limiting user access to features within a specific SKU. It also allows you to create SKU-specific roles for testing purposes, enabling you to evaluate the functionality available under each license type.

    When the SKU filter is applied with the Is Unique parameter turned off, all privileges linked to the selected SKU will be included — even if they are also associated with other SKUs. Enable the Is Unique parameter to filter only those privileges that are exclusively linked to the selected SKU.

     Note

    When using the SKU filter with a value other than All, it may take a few moments to filter the privileges due to the large number of records being processed.
       

    Setup

    The Sku type filter when adding privileges to a role, will become available when the Privilege sku filter parameter in the User options is enabled.
