Under the Application Licensing Framework for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations , the following additional features are included:
System administration > Setup > License configuration
A new checkbox labeled Show AOT has been added to the License Configuration form. When enabled, it displays the technical name of the license configuration.
The technical name is also displayed in the Included Configuration Keys section on the Configuration Key Groups tab.
System administration > Security > Security configuration
When assigning privileges to a role, a new filter option has been added to filter out privileges by SKU:
This feature is especially helpful for optimizing licensing costs by limiting user access to features within a specific SKU. It also allows you to create SKU-specific roles for testing purposes, enabling you to evaluate the functionality available under each license type.
When the SKU filter is applied with the Is Unique parameter turned off, all privileges linked to the selected SKU will be included — even if they are also associated with other SKUs. Enable the Is Unique parameter to filter only those privileges that are exclusively linked to the selected SKU.
Note
The Sku type filter when adding privileges to a role, will become available when the Privilege sku filter parameter in the User options is enabled.
System administration > Setup > License configuration
The License Configuration form now includes an Expand all levels checkbox.
When enabled, this checkbox expands every node in the license hierarchy, so all levels are visible at once. When disabled, it collapses the entire hierarchy back to its top level.
A blue checkbox indicates that a license key is enabled, but it does not guarantee that every child node underneath it is also enabled. Even when a parent node appears fully blue, one or more of its underlying keys may still be disabled. Use Expand all levels to quickly view the full hierarchy and confirm the actual status of each individual key.
