Production control > Manufacturing execution > Production floor execution
Scenario: when the raw materials for a production order are picked in a plastic bin (e.g. target LP is BIN123) in the PFE, the operator scans the target LP (BIN123) to find the production order.
Note that this scenario has limitations, e.g. when multiple target LPs are filled for one production
Production control > Setup > Manufacturing execution > Configure production floor execution
Switch on Enable search.
Warehouse management > Setup > Work > Custom work types
Set up a custom work type with method DYSPRDSetJobTargetLP.
Warehouse management > Setup > Work > Custom work types Work templates
Add a custom work line to the work template for raw material picking. Before putting the raw material work, the target LP is added to the job table.
Production control > Periodic tasks > Production order status update > Post production journals
A production order cannot be final reported as finished when there are still production picking list journals open. This function allows to post open journals in batch.
Typical scenario:
For business reasons, production pick list journals cannot be posted automatically. The require manual adjustment before posting, e.g. because of varying consumption, specific serial numbers and batch numbers etc.
Proposed material consumption in unposted journals can be updated manually until e.g. 20:00. After that time the batch job will auto-post the journal in batch with the proposed consumption quantities.
Then the next batch job can do the final report as finished and the ending.
