Open (and edit) price adjustments and discount lines in Excel
Standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations contains data entities which enables you to edit data in Excel and write it back into Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations . Depending on the selected grid in a form different data sources become available to Edit in excel via the Office icon in the menu bar.
In Price and Margin Management we added a menu item "Open in Excel" directly to the Discount and Price Adjustment lines.
Also we have added two extra validations:
- Only one of the three fields; Discount percentage, Cash discount amount and Discount Price is allowed to be modified depending on the field Discount Method of the line
- Lines can only be published back into Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations when the Status field of the agreement is Disabled
Important
Data shown in the
cost price calculation tab of the price adjustment and discount lines is not part of this feature. Instead a new data entity has been created which enables you to export this information. It is not allowed to import or edit this data as we assume that this is done by our Cost / sales price calculation function.
