From the inbound or outbound load, it is important to view the related requirements.
When prioritizing which incoming container should be called off from the port, which should be unloaded first etc. But also in case an incoming container is delayed or even lost during transport, the impact on orders that depend on this supply must be visible.
When an outbound load is being planned before all goods are physically available in the warehouse, it is important to see the MRP transactions related to this container (effects of changes in shipping dates on sales orders, and dependencies on purchase orders).
Warehouse Management adds an overview of all requirements that are directly related to a load.
When the container (inbound load) is delayed (or expected earlier), for correct calculations in the master planning, it is important that the confirmed receipt date on the purchase order line is updated. In case multiple purchase order lines from different purchase orders are included in the container each single purchase order line receipt date must be adjusted manually. Warehouse Management allows to update all relevant purchase order lines at once.
Warehouse management > Loads > All loads > Ribbon tab: Loads > Button: Update confirmed delivery dates
In a dialog, the ETA is displayed, and the user can fill in a later confirmed receipt date if needed. This receipt date will be updated on the purchase order lines in the load.
Warehouse management > Inquiries and reports > Load line requirements
Warehouse management > Loads > All loads > Ribbon tab: Loads > Button: Requirements
For the dynamic plan or any other master plan, this form displays on the upper grid the load lines, with the current on hand quantity in the warehouse, and for incoming loads the assigned quantities, the first assigned date. This information can be used to prioritize the unloading of a specific container because some of its content is already sold, or the current stock is low. Note that if the full quantity will be put on stock and is not linked to a requirement, there is no assigned qty and no first date.
If the checkmark "Link requirements to receipt lines" is set, in the lower grid the MRP transactions related to the selected load line are displayed. If not set, all open MRP requirement transactions related to any load are displayed, and it is possible to filter on e.g. item, customer, customer group, date etc.

Warehouse management > Inquiries and reports > Logistic chain
In an engineer-to-order, purchase-to-order or store-collect scenario, standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations requires multiple clicks to get the full picture of open sales orders and the supplying orders.
Especially when there is a chain of supplying orders, this is time-consuming, and requires good understanding and navigation skills from the user. Not to mention the frustration on both sides when the customer is waiting on the phone for the latest status of his order.
Purpose of the Warehouse Management Logistic chain form is to combine the information at your finger tips, by showing all sales order lines of open sales orders with their 1:1 related transfer order lines, purchase order lines and production order lines.
When items are purchased or produced to order, optionally transferred from the DC to the store etc., this form offers fast information to the final customer based on zip code and house number, or delivery name. Detail information is only one click.
Intercompany orders are visible from both the commercial and the logistical company.
Multiple sales order lines with a n:1 reference to the same transfer line, production order, purchase line are displayed in this form, but only one level deep.
Sales order lines with a 1:n reference to multiple transfer lines, production orders, purchase lines are not displayed in this form. Use the sales line button Supply and demand, Explosion instead.
Click on the order numbers to have direct access to the orders, or on the buttons for On-hand inventory, Transactions and Warehouse information.
